The « Camp Arktika » is the base camp of the explorer Gilles ELKAIM. At the heart of Finnish Lapland, at 300 Kilometres (or at 187 Miles) from the Artic Circle, Gilles manages the unique breeding of sledge dogs or Huskies in the world.
His goal is preserving some primitive SIBERIAN races endangered.
The Camp Arktika is the meeting place for boreal nature lovers trying to avoid other people from mass tourism groups to join enthusiasts of polar dogs being thirsty of Northern adventures.
The camp Arktika team organizes exploration cruises into the Artic upper area onboard its Polar vessel.
